ShaylaxColourPop Review and Swatches

Anytime ColourPop releases something new, I am on it. I’ve tried a ton of ColourPop products and in my eyes, they can’t do any wrong. When I started seeing pictures of the ShaylaxColourPop collaboration, I nearly lost it. This collection is gorgeous! There is an eyeshadow palette, three Lux Lipsticks, a lip gloss, and two Luster Dust Highlighters. I have everything from the collection, so sit back and relax. This post might get a bit lengthy. Everything is sold out at the moment, but don’t fret. There will be a restock on Friday May 11th.

ShaylaxColourPop Perception Palette:

First up is the Perception Eyeshadow Palette, which is a little drool worthy. This palette has 16 shades in varying finishes, and it has a lovely combination of neutrals and pops of color. I’ll list the shade names and descriptions below.

  • Unbothered: metallic ivory with a peach flip
  • TF: metallic gold
  • Titus: metallic gunmetal
  • Stallion: matte black with blue glitter
  • Spill the Tea: metallic rose gold
  • Diva: metallic amber
  • I.E.: metallic olive
  • 14: metallic navy
  • Strut n Slay: metallic copper
  • Culture: matte tan
  • Sassy: metallic purple with a blue flip
  • September: metallic pinky purple
  • Revenge: matte red brown
  • Thic: matte orange
  • Played Out: matte chocolate
  • Shade: matte purple with violet shimmer

In typical ColourPop fashion, the quality of the shadows is incredible. These are actually some of the most buttery and pigmented shades they have. Despite the amazing pigment, they are easy to work with and practically blend themselves. There is minimal fallout and they stay on all day. Considering it is already in the 80s in Georgia, that is saying a lot. The palette by itself is $23, or you can get the bundle for $59. The bundle has everything, so it is a good deal.

ShaylaxColourPop Lux Lipsticks

OOUUU!, Quickie, C’Mon Sis

It is almost difficult to believe that the Lux Lipsticks are still pretty new because so many new shades have been released since their initial launch.  Shayla has brought us three beautiful colors: Quickie, C’Mon Sis, and OOUUUU! Quickie is a light peach, C’Mon Sis is a pinky brown, and OOUUUU! is a medium warm peach. I have a lot of these lipsticks and they are pretty much the only lipsticks I wear anymore because the formula is absolute perfection. They are creamy and lightly hydrating, which is perfect for my dry lips. They are opaque have excellent color payoff, and the wear time is great. The three shades in this collection are fantastic colors for everyday wear. The Lux Lipsticks are $7 each, or you can get the trio for $21. They are also available in the $59 bundle.

ShaylaxColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip in Neat Freak

I’m not a lipgloss person, but summer is right around the corner and I’ve been seeing more people opting for gloss as a topper or by itself. I like to use it as a lipstick topper and Neat Freak is the perfect shade for that. Neat Freak is a light peachy gloss with a ton of pink and gold shimmer.  ColourPop’s Ultra Glossy Lip formula is so good that even I enjoy it. They don’t have that gross sticky and goopy feeling that so many glosses have. As a result, they aren’t exactly the longest lasting glosses and you will have to reapply them a few times throughout the day. I personally don’t mind this since it mean’s my lips aren’t sticking together. The shimmer and overall tone of Neat Freak makes your lips look perfectly plump and juicy.

ShaylaxColourPop Luster Dusts

Boomin’ and Pose

The Luster Dusts by ColourPop are a loose highlighter. This collection has two of them: Boomin’ and Pose. Boomin’ is a gorgeous light peachy gold. This one I can use as a highlighter, but it is just a touch too dark, so I like to combine it with another highlight for an extra glowing punch. Pose is copper, so I cannot use it as a highlighter. However, it makes a lovely eyeshadow. I can see myself using this on this “no makeup” makeup days as a soft wash of shimmer on the eyes. I love these because while they add a highlight to the skin, they are not overly intense. They have a more natural finish, but they can be built up or combined with other products pretty easily. These are $7 each.

You need to get your hands on this collection. It is amazing and I will be using all of the products a lot. I recommend buying the bundle. You save a little money that way and you get everything in the collection. I swear the people at ColourPop must never sleep (or have magical elves) because they are always releasing something new and amazing.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will be back with something new on Friday.

It is such a great, versatile palette. The star detail is what originally sold me on the lipsticks. Lol. It is a beautiful touch.

The palette is beautiful. I think the shades are perfect for summer. Glad to see there are some mattes along with the shimmers. I must try the lipsticks-love the shades that you got 😍

They are! It has a great mix of neutrals and pops of colors. =) The lipsticks are fantastic. By far one of my favorite formulas, and shade selections.
